When we try to add new records to the Selcom software, updating these records may result in the error “COMM ERR-85 click HERE” as shown in the image. This error code tells us that the software lost connection with the Panel. To review and interconnect the Panel with the software, we will reassign the IP address as shown below:
Open the access control systems APP “Device Installer”
Select the device and select the “Assign IP” Option:
Follow the following steps to reassign the IP address
We enter the IP address of the Access Control systems and continue.
Let´s continue.
We wait for the assignment process to complete and click finish.
After reassigning the IP address again, if we go back and load the records, we can see that the error no longer appears in your selcom software.
