STEPS TO FOLLOW
Before you manipulate your Gallagher access control software, we have to have a file in .cvs format organized with the following boxes to be able to correctly add users.
Once we have the file, we go to Windows explorer and create the (EDI) folder in Local Disk C.
One there, we create three new folders with the names Source, Completed, Failed.
Then we save the created file in the path C:\EDI\Source.
Now we go to the Gallagher access control configuration and then to manage.
In general we add a name:
Then we go to Data Location and add the path of the folder in which we save the file and copy it to Source Folder.
In the File Names section, we enter the name of the complete file with extension
In the Completed Folder and Filed Folder sections, we copy the locations of the respective remaining folders created in the C:\EDI path.
This is how the Data Location routes should finally look.
Now we go to Data Format and in the type of format, we make sure that it is Delimited.
Also that it is delimited by 1 Comma.
Now we go to the Filed Import section within Data Format.
We import the created file, making sure that we take it out of the previously created system path.
Make sure to follow this steps correctly:
We make sure that it imports the necessary columns correctly.
Now let’s go to the Mappings section for your Gallagher access control software.
We make sure it is mapped as follows.
Making sure that Access Group will give us the access we requested, we validate by selecting the Access Group section and Add.
Make sure that it has the name of the settings to which we are going to request access by clicking it in the Add section so that it saves the changes correctly.
We grade it by clicking OK.
Then we make sure the Badge Number section is well mapped, since this is the one that will give you access to each card.
And we are going to validate that the data is being taken correctly by pressing Add.
And we apply the changes
Make sure that the cards actually appear and that the Card Number section is correctly mapped.
Set the configuration for the data interface:
Then we go to the Operator section and execute it as Operated.
Enter the administrator credentials and click save.
Now we save all the changes made:
And the file should appear to be executed in Enterprise Data Interfaces, we click Enable, so that it allows us to execute the file.
It will change us to the Manual state.
Execute it on the Run Now button.
You should now add all the users
And voila, we now have all the users added correctly to your Gallagher access control.
Validate that the card data matches.
