Keri Systems Entraguard is a line of commercial telephone entry system and visitor management systems. Installed at building perimeters, gated community entrances, and commercial facilities, it allows visitors to look up tenants via an electronic directory, speak with them over a telephone line, and gain access when the tenant remotely grants entry (typically by pressing a key on their phone).

KEY ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPTS
RS-485 Controller Bus
An Entraguard panel connects to Doors.NET through a PXL-500 Gateway Controller network via RS-485. The panel acts as a target node alongside standard access control door panels.
Shared Network & Hardware Mounting
Panels like the Entraguard Silver or Platinum can physically house a PXL-500 controller inside their enclosure. This allows the panel to control both the telephone interface and local card/fob readers on the same wiring node.
STEP-BY-STEP SYSTEM SETUP IN DOORS.NET
Hardware Addressing & Memory Clear
Before enrolling in Doors.NET, clear the Entraguard panel’s onboard memory via its internal reset switch (SW1) and assign it a unique RS-485 network address.
Gateway Auto-Discovery or Manual Add
In Doors.NET, navigate to Setup > Hardware Setup. Scan the active PXL Gateway network to discover connected Entraguard panels automatically, or manually add the panel under the corresponding Gateway node.
Configure Panel Properties
Select the Entraguard panel in the hardware tree to adjust system parameters:
- Tenant Dialing Parameters: Set directory code lengths (e.g., 3-to-6 digits) and phone line dialing rules.
- DTMF Command Keys: Define DTMF phone key tones for visitor actions (e.g., press
