A typical door access control operator consists of an electric motor, gearbox, control board, door arm or sliding mechanism, safety sensors, activation devices, and backup battery (on many models). When an activation signal is received, the controller starts the motor, moves the door at a controlled speed, monitors safety sensors to prevent collisions, and closes the door after a programmable delay.
