Device Offline
A common issue with iVMS-4200 is when a connected hikvision security camera system, DVR, or NVR appears offline in the software.

This OSCVG16-026110 Error code occurs when the client software cannot establish or maintain a connection with the device’s playback stream. Below are the steps from the simplest solution to advanced configurations.
Hardware Reset (Primary Solution)
The most common cause is blockage in the recorder’s network processes.
• Action: Restart the NVR/DVR directly from the local menu or via the web interface (Remote Configuration -> System -> Maintenance -> Reboot).
• Expected result: Upon restarting, active sessions are released and the data port is reset, allowing playback to be viewed.
Verifying Network Configuration
If restarting does not work, there is likely a bandwidth limitation or network conflict.
- Check stability: If you are connected via Wi-Fi, try connecting your PC using a LAN cable. Packet loss in wireless connections often triggers OSCVG errors.
- Connection limit: Ensure that there are not too many users viewing the recorder simultaneously. Each device has an “Output Bandwidth” limit. If this is exceeded, playback will fail.
Decoding Settings in iVMS-4200
Sometimes the software attempts to process the video using resources that the PC’s video card does not support correctly.
• Go to System Configuration within iVMS-4200.
• In the Image section, change the “Video Rendering Mode” from Auto to Direct3D or OpenGL.
• Disable the Enable Hardware Acceleration option if your PC does not have a powerful dedicated graphics card.
Time Synchronization
A time lag between the PC and the NVR may cause the video search request to fail.
• Go to Remote Configuration on the device.
• In System -> Time Settings, ensure that the recorder has the correct time. It is recommended to use an NTP server or synchronize it with the
computer time.
Maintenance of iVMS-4200 Software
If the error persists only on a specific computer:
• Run as Administrator: Close the program completely and open it by
right-clicking -> Run as administrator.
• Update: Verify that you are using the latest version (v3.x or higher), as
older versions often have compatibility bugs with new NVR firmware.
