WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH THE HIGH USAGE OF CPU?
When the iVMS 4200 software is opened, the computer freezes and does not allow it to work. Before running the software, we opened the task manager and saw that the CPU had increased to 100%. When the security cameras Hikvision software is closed, it returns to its normal state.
HOW TO FIX IT?
The solution is to open the iVMS software and close the Live view before the views load. By achieving this, the cameras prevent the PC from being blocked by the CPU at 100%. after we go to the iVMS-4200 software configuration and deactivate the option >>Resume Latest Live View After Restart. This will prevent this function from overloading the CPU and will not load any camera when the software is opened.
Finally, the user would have to choose the group of cameras to load, but the CPU would not overload and would operate normally.
DON´T OVEROPTIMIZE YOUR PC:
Select the programs you are not using and end those that are running but you are not working. Most likely, software is consuming your PC’s resource, use iVMS- 4200 software client only.
Finally, the user would have to choose the group of Hikvision security cameras to load, but the CPU would not overload and would operate normally.
INTEL CPU... IS THE PROBLEM?
Check other sources to determine why your computer works on the CPU or other parts of your operating system. Remember that each factor counts when working on Windows, Linux, and macOS. Some failures are due to Intel boards. Check your settings and reconfigure them, setting them to the shortest delay and saving. This is because the iVMS 4200 program works with more performance on AMD boards due to its drivers and configurations.
When they are Apple devices, and remembering that these computers replaced their CPU with Intel, they must do the previously mentioned step. If they are Apple Silicon, we must not forget that these processors are more powerful; therefore, it is doubtful that they will have these problems.
