Device camera is disabled or not connected error code ivms-4200

If we get the above error code when running the Hikvision IVMS-4200 software. it is likely that we will not be able to view the cameras remotely, as shown in the following images:

To solve this, it is advisable to follow a series of steps to solve the problem:

  1. The first step (in our case it was the solution) is inside the iVMS-4200 software. Go to the “Maintenance and Management” menu and in the “Device” option verify that the DVR/NVRs are “Online”. If any of them is “Offline” what we would have to do is to refresh each DVR/NVR. as shown in the following image.

Check your iVMS-4200 Software:

By checking again in the “Main View” menu in ivms-4200 client software. We can verify that the error does not occur, and the cameras are displayed correctly.

If the above does not solve the problem, we can follow other verifications and steps summarized below.

  1. Test that the cameras have connection to the NVR, by entering the NVR configuration. We can check if the cameras are active on the network. A reboot of the DVR/NVR at this point can help us.
  1. If the above does not work we must verify that the Hikvision surveillance cameras are connected. to the power source, or if it is the case the PoE connections are working properly.
  1. Sometimes it may be that the NVR is saturated. probably due to high frames per second or high camera resolutions. Higher than the resolutions that the DVR/NVR can support.

To be sure of the specifications and other features it is recommended to check the manual or datasheets of the devices.
