EZCloud allows security devices to connect to a centralized cloud server, providing remote access through a web interface or mobile application. Instead of configuring port forwarding or static IP addresses, devices communicate securely with the cloud platform, simplifying installation and management.
The platform is commonly used in small to medium surveillance deployments, retail stores, offices, residential buildings, and distributed sites where remote monitoring is required.
Key features
Typical System Architecture
The EZCloud login system architecture utilizes a cloud connectivity model that links surveillance devices to a centralized platform for seamless remote access and management. IP cameras and NVRs from Zhejiang Uniview Technologies connect to the internet and register with the server using a unique device ID and verification code. After registration, these devices establish and maintain a secure, persistent connection with the cloud server. Users access the system via a web browser or the EZView mobile application. The cloud platform authenticates user credentials and facilitates secure communication with registered devices. This architecture eliminates the need for complex network configurations such as port forwarding or static IP addresses, enabling secure remote monitoring, video playback, and device management from virtually any location.
Advantages
Remote Device Access
Users can view live video, playback recordings, and manage devices from anywhere using a web browser or the EZView mobile app.
Plug-and-Play Device Registration
Devices are added using:
- Serial number
- QR code scanning
- Device verification code
This eliminates the need for advanced network configuration.
Cloud Connectivity
Devices connect to Uniview cloud servers through encrypted communication, enabling:
- Remote monitoring
- Device status notifications
- Remote configuration
Multi-Device Management
EZCloud supports the management of multiple devices such as:
- IP cameras
- NVR security cameras
- Video encoders
- Integrated security systems
Common Issues
Common issues in the EZCloud system typically occur when devices fail to maintain a stable connection with the cloud server. One of the most frequent problems is a network disconnection error, which usually happens when the camera or NVR security camera system cannot access the internet due to incorrect gateway, DNS, or IP configuration. Another common issue involves incorrect device registration, where the serial number or verification code entered during setup does not match the device registered in the cloud account.
Firewall or router restrictions may also block the communication ports required for the device to connect to the EZCloud servers. In addition, outdated firmware on devices from Zhejiang Uniview Technologies can cause compatibility problems with the cloud service. Resolving these issues generally involves verifying network settings, checking internet connectivity, updating firmware, and ensuring the device is properly linked to the user account through the **EZView or web portal.
Lets check one of the common issues...
The following error may occur on Uniview or Asefort NVRs or DVRs when attempting to connect the device to the EZCloud server for remote viewing from mobile devices:
Under normal conditions, the device status should appear Online, as shown in the image below:
How to Resolve the Issue
To fix this issue, please follow the steps below:
1. Verify that the Port Mapping option is disabled.
2. Check whether the DNS servers configured on the device are responding. Navigate to Maintenance → Network Info → Net Detect.
In the Test Address field, enter the DNS address and run the test.
3. The test must return a successful response. If there is no response, try configuring different DNS servers, as this is the most common cause of synchronization issues with the cloud service.
4. Once the DNS responds correctly, revalidate the cloud status. The device should now appear Online, as shown in the reference image.
