ACCESS CONTROL
and
BLUETOOTH TECHNOLOGY
Today’s digital revolution has increased so much that we can organize more tasks than before, even at the same time, thanks to existing Access control bluetooth technology.

Thanks to the evolution of technology, jobs that were previously done manually can be done more efficiently, faster, and more safely; an example is access control.

While in the not-too-distant past, this required specific problems, today, thanks to access control, life is easier and more pleasant for administrators and users in spaces such as companies, homes, and small businesses.
There are different ways how the person can authenticate with an access control Miami:

This document will teach you the differences and advantages between using a Bluetooth reader access control and the standard proximity card reader.

WHAT IS CARD READER?
It is a device to which a credential is presented. Through a controller, it will tell whether the credential is authenticated or not. If it is authenticated, the device gives the person access to the installations of the place; if it is not authenticated, access is denied.
BLUETOOTH ACCESS CONTROL
With the rise of smart devices and the constant presence of mobile phones, many businesses are opting for Bluetooth access control systems Miami. It allows users to access buildings or any other facility through their phones so that companies can save money.
We invite you to continue reading this document to learn more about this new technology and its benefits.
WHAT IS BLUETOOTH
Access Control?
Bluetooth access control systems uses, as its name suggests, Bluetooth technology to control access to buildings or other areas such as.

This is a short-range wireless technology that allows you to exchange data between devices. Most people use Bluetooth at some point in their daily lives, whether to play music or make calls in a car.

This technology is a relatively inexpensive form of access control, especially compared to systems requiring users to have an access card or key fob.
With these types of systems, you need to pay for cards and key fobs, replace them regularly, and have some on hand for new users.
However, when users access the building via Bluetooth, they do not need to pay for the device they access as they will use their phone. This also decreases the chance of users forgetting their access control Miami device.
HOW
Bluetooth
ACCESS CONTROL
WORKS?
Bluetooth access control works through an app on user’s phones and a Bluetooth proximity reader connected to their Access Control System. In this Contactless System, when someone wants to access your property, they must have their phone near the reader.
There are several ways in which users can activate the system to recognize their phones, one of them we will show you in the following graphic:

Users can always keep Bluetooth on, so they only have to get close to the reader to gain access. Asking users to open their phones, enter the passcode, or use the biometric recognition that most people have activated creates an additional layer of security.

Regardless of the type of system used, the user’s phone must communicate with the Bluetooth reader access control to grant or deny access, this being possible thanks to the controller. Each person’s phone has a unique ID registered when they sign up; then, the system remembers this ID in a database to allow entry.
